Today we were taking a nice little drive and as usual we had the High School Musical CD on and Emma was singing along. All of a sudden Emma yells very firmly "OH MY GOSS!" (That is "gosh" in Emma language.) So I am thinking holy crap did she see a terrible accident or was there a dead animal on the side of the road or what? She typically is not that intense with it. So I asked her what was up and she said she had seen some deer on the side of the road in the fields and they had a baby one too. She was so enthralled that there were deer that you would think she was sheltered or something. She kept saying things like "that is just so amazing" and it was cracking me up. She was so serious about it and said she must tell her friends. Haha, where does she come up with this stuff? Silly Emma. Life would sure be boring without her. In other news Emma has been on this huge dessert kick. We typically don't have dessert every single night at our home but the past few months she got this idea in her head (I bet grandpa is the culprit?) and I have kind of spoiled us and rolled with it for the summer. I have to say it's been quite fun. We make strawberry shortcake and root beer floats. Tonight we just had strawberries on vanilla ice cream. Of course there is always the popcorn movie nights we love and emma likes popsicles and my personal favorite chocolate! Although, I keep thinking I should bake more while I have the time, the problem with that is there is nobody to eat it all! In fact, we had cookies on a picnic with a friend and I ate all the leftovers myself UGH! The picture above is of Emma a couple weeks ago when we went to Fentons Creamery in Oakland after the Vivarium (reptile house) and Adventure Playground (build your own playground) in Berkeley. Emma ate almost her whole sundae after she ate real food too. The ice cream was delicious and I highly recommend it! Mmmmmm... this summer never needs to end as far as I'm concerned.

Emma and Nicky are so similiar with their obsession with animals. I can just see Emma hyperventilating over the baby dear. Sooo cute. I love dessert too. Unlike you guys, I wear mine around the middle.
