Mom's weekend

We had a great time at our second annual Mother's day camp-out. Here are the highlights and/or memorable moments.

- Fun campfires
- Good food with no cooking or dishes to do
- Mole Hole (long tunnel slide you sled down)
- Zip Line
- Swimming
- Arts n' crafts (clay, hat decorating, bracelets)
- Archery
- Ga Ga Ball
- Night games in the dark
- Enjoying company of other mom's and girls
- Night hike complete with story and eating meteorites
- Staying up way too late and waking up way too early
- Hiking to the river and making body paint out of rocks
- Tasting edible plants
- Almost running into a big snake on a trail back to camp alone
- Climbing the rock wall
- Enjoying the beautiful setting in the Redwood Forrest
- Mother's appreciation ceremony
- Tye Dying
- An hour rest while staff helped daughters make cards for moms
- Watching Emma play games in the Rec hall after dinner
- Exploring the nature center*
- Emma getting car sick on the way home
- Ice cream social
- Yummy treats all weekend long


It was a good weekend despite almost not making it with car trouble. We will be back again next year for Mother's Day weekend! This camp really is a hidden gem.

*Emma would not hold the snake this year. She has always held snakes even boas!
