I felt like a little kid again a couple weeks ago. Do you remember that childhood anticipation of school getting out for the summer? I can still picture in my mind sitting in class doing a countdown and waiting for the school bell to ring so that we could all run out of class ecstatic that all we would have to worry about for the next couple months was who we were going to go to the pool with or what new places we could ride our bikes to. Ok summer is not so carefree these days but after finishing my first year of teaching I felt those same butterflies in my stomach and has so much excitement to be finishing out the year. Even though I have more responsibilities now and I have a child to care for I still felt the excitement of not having to think about work (even in the back of my mind) for like 9 whole weeks! I didn't think I would ever feel that type of anticipation again but I did and it is wonderful! The first week of my summer I took a technology class for people with visual impairments which was not exactly how I wanted to start my break. But now I am free and it is great. This is the life!!!!!

That has got to be nice to get the whole summer off. I would have loved that when I was working. No wonder you were so excited. It was so fun to have you guys here. Thanks for putting up with us and watching the kids for us. That really meant more to us than you will ever know.
